Terms of Use

These terms apply to use of Chino Hills Residents Directory. By visiting or using the reference, you accept the terms below. If you do not accept them, please stop using the pages and linked tools.

1. The Nature of This Reference

Chino Hills Residents Directory is a privately operated reference to public rolls, record indexes, and historical collections connected with Chino Hills, San Bernardino County, and California. It hosts no government record itself and has no affiliation with a public office, court, library, or records custodian. The pages describe access routes and source limits.

2. Lawful and Respectful Use

Use the reference and anything reached through it only for lawful purposes. You may not use it to:

  • Stalk, harass, intimidate, threaten, or harm a person.
  • Locate someone protected by a restraining or protective order.
  • Commit identity theft, fraud, or another unlawful act.
  • Make a decision regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act, including credit, employment, tenant, or insurance decisions.
  • Scrape, copy, or republish the content at scale.
  • Interfere with the operation, security, or availability of the pages.

3. Not a Consumer Reporting Agency

This reference is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, 15 U.S.C. section 1681 and following. Neither the content here nor a result from a linked search tool is a consumer report. Nothing may be used to judge eligibility for credit, employment, housing, insurance, or another purpose covered by the FCRA. A disclaimer does not make inaccurate information accurate or authorize an unlawful use.

4. External Websites

County, state, city, court, USPS, library, archive, and sponsored-search destinations maintain their own terms, privacy policies, pricing, and availability. Chino Hills Residents Directory does not control those services and is not responsible for their content, outages, data practices, or results. Review the destination’s rules before submitting information.

5. No Warranties

The pages are provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind. No promise is made that a fact is accurate, complete, current, or fit for a particular purpose. A linked portal may change, stop working, require a fee, or return no result. The custodian is the authority for its record.

6. Liability Limits

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operators are not liable for direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or similar damages arising from use of this reference or a linked resource. That includes a decision, loss, or dispute based on information found through a page or outside portal.

7. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold the operators harmless from a claim or demand, including reasonable attorneys’ fees, that results from your misuse of the reference or breach of these terms.

8. Copyright and Layout

The original writing, design, logo, and layout are protected by copyright. Linking to a page and quoting a short excerpt with attribution are welcome. Republishing a full page, mirroring the site, or systematically copying the content is not permitted without written permission.

9. Changes to These Terms

The operators may revise these terms by posting a new version here. Continued use after a revision means that you accept the updated terms. Review the page when the reference adds a material feature or changes its linked services.

10. Access Restrictions

Access may be blocked or limited for a user who violates these terms, abuses the pages, attacks the service, or creates a security risk. The operators may take that action without advance notice where they reasonably believe it is needed.

11. California Law

California law governs these terms without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Public-record references are informed by the California Public Records Act, recodified at Government Code sections 7920.000 through 7931.000. The statute does not make every record public and does not override court, vital-record, voter, adoption, juvenile, sealed, or other specific access rules.

12. Severability

If a court finds one provision unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in effect to the extent the law allows.

13. Questions

Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page. Questions about a government record should go to the office that holds the record.
